Sissel Morken Gullord holds a master's degree of music performance, having studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has also graduated with a degree in education.

She studied horn with Professor Frøydis Ree Wekre and Kjell Erik Arnesen (co-principal horn in the Oslo Philharmonic).

She works as a freelance musician and plays in Oslo Chamber Academy.

As one of the few hornplayers in the Nordic countries doing so, Sissel has specialized in playing the natural horn. Since 1998 she has been working with the leading Baroque orchestras in Scandinavia.

Sissel was awarded a work grant from Oppland County Council 2006-2008. In addition, she has received a number of other scholarships.

Sissel works as a performer, with her many creative ideas and tasks.

- Soloist on the baroque horn with Linköping Domkyrkas Barockorkester in Linköping Domkyrka

- Soloist on the billygoat's horn as the opening of the mountainconcert "At Rondane" at the "Peer-Gynt Festival" in Vinstra hall full set of 1400 people

- Solo horn duet with Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz in "Guiliettas aria" from the Capuletti of Bellini at the Peer Gynt Festival
