Oslo Chamber Academy
Two oboes, two clarinets, two horns, two bassoons and a double bass is the original instrumentation of the harmony ensemble. These ensembles played serenades and divertimentoes at the castles and other high-society events. Simply a party band! On several occasions, well-known orchestral works and operas were transcribed for harmony ensemble such that the music could be made accessible for a larger audience.
Oslo Chamber Academy uses historical brass instruments for the classical repertoire to lend both authenticity and transparency to the sound of the ensemble. This gives the musicians the capability of successfully performing from an historically-informed perspective. Look forward to exciting experiences with us! We promise uncompromising quality and wonderful programmes every time.
